Nickelodeon Joins Disney Apps on the iPad

Nickelodeon announced the release of two new iPad apps available in the App Store that are targeted to kids using the iPad. The two applications, Dora the Explorer and Daily Jigsaw for $4.99 and .99 respectively.   Of the two apps, Dora looks to be the better (hence the higher price) with a lot of fun, creative things for kids to do on the iPad. Last week, Disney’s iPad announcement was that it would launch several paid and free applications for the iPad. Apple iPad iBooks – A Hands On Review

iBooks, the Apple bookstore for the iPad and iPhone has been released and according to this review by Mark Wilson there’s a lot that’s good balanced by a few bad things. In short, the readability on the iPad iBooks is spectacular but the store experience is not as clean as the normal AppStore or iTunes store experiences.  iBooks is about an 18 meg download, and gives you access to over 30,000 free titles from Project Gutenberg, with other titles ranging from 99 cents up.  Also, you can load in any ePub formatted book and be off and reading in no time.
