Lonely Planet iPad App: 1000 Ultimate Experiences
Another big name launches another application for the iPad as Lonely Planet releases it’s travel companion app, 1000 Ultimate Experiences.
1000 Ultimate Experiences, based off the successful Lonely Planet title, is an iPad-ready applicationthat goes beyond typical travel guides. Lonely Planet packed this iPad app with tons of rich photos, video from Lonely Planet TV and all revolving around 1000 travel ideas for the avid venturer.
True to form, Lonely Planet’s app tells stories that entertain the user through their high-gloss, professional content. For $19.99, it seems reasonable that this is a suitable replacement for a book you could pick up at the store for around the same price, and still immerse yourself in an interactive travel guide experience through the iPad.
In addition to the app, Lonely Planet’s travel guides are available on Kindle and iBooks bookstores for reading on the iPad through either iBooks or the Kindle App.
Inspired by the bestselling Lonely Planet book ‘1,000 Ultimate Experiences’, the app has re-invented the experience of reading a Lonely Planet guide as a deck of cards allowing users to swipe through the top 1,000 ideas, places and activities to inspire their next trip.
